One of the most common approaches when working with
young musicians are the concert promotions. The normal concert season
for JMM is between September and July, e.g. the current academic year.
Several types of concerts can be distinguished among the JMM concert
production:
- Concerts with well renowned, semi-professional or professional
young artists;
- Concerts with school or professional (young) small chamber
ensembles;
- Choir or large ensemble concerts;
- School concerts:
- concerts for young audiences;
- concerts given by young musicians, as part of their education
(semi-final or final examinations, graduating concerts);
- First public concert experience;
Most of these concerts are organized throughout the
country, as part of small concert tours organized by, or in
co-operation with the JMM local sections and music schools. Regular
co-operation in that sence exists with the Music and Ballet School Center
and the Faculty of Music Arts in Skopje.
The JMM concert season is also internationally
oriented, thus inviting young musicians or small ensembles from the
countries in the region to perform in Macedonia.
Furthermore, renowned young musicians are
encouraged to apply for concert presentations abroad, through JMM
partners and collaborating organizations.
For additional details on organizing concert tours
in Macedonia or abroad, please contact the National JMM Secretariat.
JMM also strives to develop a concert presentation
policy that will enable even more young musicians to take part in the
activities that foster better professional surrounding and public
presentation skills. In that manner, JMM, in co-operation with the
Music and Ballet association of Macedonia organized the International
Manifestation Musicians of the New Millenium at the end
of 1999, inviting young musicians and professors from South Eastern
Europe for performances and discussing the higher quality of the music
talents promotion.

THE JEUNESSES MUSICALES MACEDONIA YOUTH PODIUM
The development of the music education, thus
discovering many talented young musicians, fostered the huge
international affirmation, with more than 100 awards on international
music competitions in the last decade. The JMM are following those
achievements through more than 50 concerts with the award-winners,
organized throughout Macedonia during the season. Its highlight is
the Ohrid Summer Festival Youth Podium, where JMM engage young
musicians to perform as part of the official Festivals program. For
26 years, it was held before the official start of the Festival, and
as of this year, it has been incorporated within its duration.
The JMM Youth Podium became an elite representation
program of the youngest and best Macedonian musicians. Furthermore, it
also became an activity that presents young generations of musicians
from foreign countries being invited to perform in Ohrid (the region
of South-Eastern Europe, USA, Cyprus, Russia, Japan, Turkey, Germany
and France).
Conducting successfully this activity, JMM have
become the first promoter of musicians who, today represent the music
elite of the Macedonian music interpretation.
